Description
"Jar of Flies" is the third studio album by the American rock band, Alice in Chains, released on January 25th, 1994 through Colombia Records. It is the first EP in music history to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 Chart and was well received by critics. The EP has since been certified double-platinum by the RIAA and is one of the biggest sellers in the Alice in Chains' catalog. "Jar of Flies" was produced by the band memebers themselves, and marks the first major studio recording with bassist Mike Inez. "Jar of Flies" includes the singles, "No Excuses" and "I Stay Away", both of which had accompanying music videos. In November of 2011, "Jar of Flies" was ranked number four on Guitar World magazine's top ten list of guitar albums of 1994. In the US, the album was released in a limited edition double vinyl along with "SAP" ("Jar of Flies" was on sides one and two, "SAP" was on side three and an etching of the Alice in Chains logo was on side four). This is the US 1994 Colombia Label Vinyl copy. Catalog # on the spine is: C257804. Bar code matrix # is: 0 7464-57804-1 2. The vinyls are visually graded as EX+. The cover is graded as VG+. There is a crease on the back, lower right cover that runs at a 45 degree angle. Record was stored in a heavy duty anvil case since 2006 and comes from a smoke/pet free home.
