Today, the man who contributed extensively to the career development of Carlos Santana, Whitney Houston or Ace Of Base, still shoulders the young singer but left him chisel to his liking the ivory and ebony songs gathered on this very convincing second album. In turn seductive (If I Ain't Got You), lascive in tradition (Dragon Days), alert as a young Dusty Springfield with dark skin (Wake Up), Alicia knows how to open all the doors of black music with such keys. In If I Was Your Woman, irrefutable tournerie boosted by a sample of Walk On By, or You Don't Know My Name she shows a talent already in the process of getting improved, which is decidedly very promising: this young artist, splendid moreover, has just celebrated his twenty years...
