ALLAN HOLDSWORTH - VELVET DARKNESS LP - 1976 RADIO STATION PROMO LP w/ Promo labels in NM condition!
Nobody bought this LP upon release (shame on you), so here's your chance to realize what you already know - that this man would change the way an electric guitar was played forever going forward. No fillers, friends, all killer...with the assist of Narada Michael Walden on drums, Alphonso Johnson on bass and fellow Lifetime stablemate, Alan Pasqua, on Keys...whoa.
LP is near-perfect - not a scratch. I've had this LP since it's release, but already had a stock copy, so this one's still cherry. It has the SMALLEST 'Radio Station Copy' I've ever seen on the labels, and CTI put forth precious few promo LP's in the mid 70's, as the label was already in financial dire... Cover is still in great shape, kept in plastic, with minor wear around all corners. See pics. No seam splits, moldy odors, etc. - ALL items come from my own, extensive personal collection, and I treat my collections better than you treat your kids...quite rightly so. Unless your kid plays like Holdsworth, of course...

RIP, Allan, we always loved you baby, in fact, it was his fans who paid for his funeral services last year!
