This deluxe vinyl box set celebrates his most famous and controversial work, 'Howl, which stands as one of the most important pieces of modern American literature. Ginsberg s passionate recording of his poems comes pressed on translucent red vinyl - a reproduction the original 1959 LP release. Also included in the box set is a replica of the 1956 Howl And Other Poems book, originally released as one of City Lights Pocket Poets series, as well as a photo of Ginsberg from the '50s and a reproduction of the original City Lights reading invite from 1956. A booklet with new liner notes by Beat scholar Ann Charters, as well as notes by poet Anne Waldman round out the package.
