Description

Very rare dummy sleeve with different artwork together with a test pressing of Barclay James Harvest Eyes Of The Universe album.  Comes with promo only booklet.
This is a test pressing of the Barclay James Harvest album Eyes Of The Universe.  It was created before the artwork for the sleeve had been finished and the picture is different to that which appeared on the actual release.  There is no sign of the spacecraft hovering above the scene and instead there is a spaceman in the bottom right of the picture which is not present on the released version.  There is no album title visible and the Barclay James Harvest logo is different to that which finally appeared.
The dummy sleeve is a simply photo print affixed to a plain white sleeve and the back is blank. The test pressing comes in a plain inner sleeve with handwritten release date and catalogue number. The matrix numbers are A2 / B1.
The promo booklet was distributed to the press and is similar to the tour programme which promoted the album.  It differs in that it also has examples of available press photos (see picture). It is missing the text on the front which appeared on the tour programme.
The test pressing is mint / unplayed and is still beautifully shiny.  The sleeve and booklet have some minor creases and I would grade them as VG to EX.
I am willing to post to destinations outside Europe but shipping will be more.
