Alton Ellis - I Can't Stand It/ Tonight
(Nu Beat NB 010 UK 7" 1968)
This is a UK original 7" single pressing. It has green & orange "Nu Beat" labels which have a 4 pronged centre. The record has 1st press A-1/ B-1 matrix stampers. It comes with its original company plain paper sleeve. A rare late 1960's Ska/ Reggae UK release. Two great tracks too. Please read the condition description below carefully. This is a heavily played copy. However, it does not jump on my system.
Vinyl: As stated, this is a very heavily played copy. There are moderate to considerable sleeve rubs, or surface rub marks, which can be seen under a strong light. There are approximately 10 surface hairline marks. These vary in size from 1 cm to 4 cm in length. Overall, Fair+ condition. The labels are in Very Good condition & show mild to more moderate spindle wear only. There are two tiny pin-head sized marks on the B-side. There is a very light 2 cm hairline scratch mark on the A-side label. The company paper sleeve is in Very Good condition. There is some mild, very mild or more moderate ringwear, fading & creasing. There are no seam splits.
I have fully play tested this 7" single. It plays Good overall. There is some mild, more moderate or moderate crackle in the background to a varying degree. The crackle never completely overpowers the music. As stated, this copy does not jump on my system. There are no nasty clicks or pops. I have play tested it several times.
