Description
Mint condition 12" vinyl album, no. 115 of 999 pressings. This is a truly collectable piece of White Stripes memorabilia. Never played and all artwork and album still in original packaging.
The album, of avant-garde orchestral music, was originally conceived by Richard Russell and Joby Talbot. After working on some tracks - including "Aluminium"and "I'm Bound to Pack it Up" - they presented the work to the White Stripes in Cincinnati who endorsed the project.
Following White's penchant for the number "3", only 3,333 copies of the CD version have been produced, along with 999 LPs. The album was available for pre-order on November 6, 2006 and fully released on November 13.
Ten images based upon the album, all by Rob Jones, were included in the 999 LP editions of the album as well as a 10 inch square section of a silk print by Rob Jones in each sleeve.
Given the White Stripes' fondness for the number three it may be worth noting that the logo for Aluminium is a depiction of Aluminium excluding the element's outermost electron shell, which normally contains three electrons.
