Description
Up for sale is a lot of seven Alvarez Guedes 12" Vinyl Records. Included in this lot are Alvarez Guedes 1, 2, 6, 8, 9, 13 & 16. Some of these records were stored in a base cabinet going as far back as the eighties, whereas others were acquired sometime around the late nineties or during the 2000's. The only way to tell them apart is that the ones with the shrink wrap still on them were the ones that were picked up later on, whereas the ones without it were the ones that were kept in the base cabinet; which had all collected quite a bit of dust over the years; but they were cleaned up for the purpose of this sale. As for the ones that were picked up later on, those were kept in a crate that had become infested with termites. Luckily, however, nothing happened to any of these records; so no unwanted holes were burroughed through by some very hungry pests and whatnot.

These records have some yellowing on them along with some wear on the cardboard covers. The ones that still have the shrink wrap on them may have some slight wear on them; despite of these covers, and the shrink wrap may be slightly torn and hanging off of a few of them. There are some noticeable tears and rips on the back of the Alvarez Guedes 6 record (located towards the bottom left on back of the cover) as well as some wear along the top of both the Alvarez Guedes 8 & 13 records, which have some original album material flaking off and revealing the cardboard underneath. Alvarez Guedes 6 also has a stain (which looks like a dirt streak) running along Alvarez' forehead on the cover as well.
The inner paper sleeve for Alvarez Guedes 1 has yellowed quite a bit from age and has some minor tearing happening around the porthole for the inlay of the record. The inner sleeve for Alvarez Guedes 2 has slightly yellowed from age and has developed some unwanted folds and creases on it from storage. Some tears along the splines of this inner paper sleeve have also occurred and there is also some wear that is showing on the inlay, which almost resembles a paint finish peeling off when you apply paint remover. The paper sleeve for Alvarez Guedes 6 has a very nasty tear happening on one of the sides that was likely due from it being put away very haphazardly. The paper sleeve for Alvarez Guedes 8 has also yellowed from age and has a minor tear happening on the side opposite to the insertion slit. The inlay for this record also appears to have faded a bit along the very edges of the circular shape and is slightly culled on side 2; which causes the round inlay sticker to no longer appear circular.

The same goes for the inlay on Alvarez Guedes 9 on side B, which is again slightly culled (for no apparent reason) thus making it loose its once circular shape. The inner paper sleeve for this album has also yellowed quite a bit and has developed tears along the spline (opposite to the insertion slit). Alvarez Guedes 13 also has a yellowed inner paper sleeve and has some tear going on near the porthole where the inlay shows through. This paper sleeve also has some tearing happening along the spline and the bottom of the sleeve opposite to the insertion slit. Alvarez Guedes 16 has a notch cut out (which was typical of record sales outlets back in the day done for return purposes and whatnot). This paper sleeve also has a cellophane cover on the porthole, however, the paper sleeve is pretty wrinkled up and some slight tears have occurred on it because of this.

As for the records themselves, they may all have fingerprints and/or scratches on their surfaces brought on by previous use. I cannot say for sure how well any of these records play because I do not have immediate access to a working record player to test them all out with, so I'm selling off these records in as-is condition. Please be sure to get in on this deal while it still lasts, for I'm pricing it to move. I'm pretty sure this will make a great addition to anyone's record collection out there, especially if you're a lover of Cuban standup comedy.
