On offer here is the INCREDIBLY RARE AND NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ORIGINAL UK BELL RECORDS RELEASE OF THE AMAZING BLONDEL'S 'THE AMAZING BLONDEL AND A FEW FACES' FROM 1970.This debut album from Amazing Blondel is,by far,the hardest to find and is a great example of psych/progressive/folk from this well-loved band.The songs are all strong and full of interesting instrumentation.
The sleeve is in very good+ condition,with just a little sign of wear and a few creases around the edges.It is a laminated single sleeve and has a name written twice in felt-tip on the front cover.As it is laminated,these may rub off,but i did not want to chance ruining the sleeve.The labels are also very good+,again with just a short name written on one side of the label in biro.This brings me onto the vinyl condition and i will try and be as honest and accurate as i can,as i realise this is an album that commands high prices.When held up to the light,the vinyl looks well used,with light hairline marks in evidence on both sides of the vinyl.However,the record plays absolutely fine and has no skips or jumps whatsoever,simply some light background crackle now and again.There is quite a loud,strong and powerful production to this record,so any crackle is mainly heard between tracks and during a few quiet passages,but,overall,the strong vocals and instrumentation power out of the speakers and the crackle is not heard during the tracks.I finally tracked this record down as a used item many,many years ago,and it is in certainly in no worse condition today.Again,i am going to class the vinyl as very good+,so no potential buyer is disappointed,but i may be under-grading it.Incidentally,when i purchased it,it was already in a Decca inner-sleeve.I don't see how that is correct,but i have left it as i got it.In summary:
