Description

Slade are an English rock band who rose to prominence during the glam rock era in the early 1970's.  They achieved 17 consecutive Top 20 Hits, with six reaching  #1 on the UK Singles Chart.  "Beginnings of Slade / Ambrose Slade"  is the debut album by Ambrose Slade, later known as Slade.  This was an interesting start for Slade,  it showcases the Pub Rock feel they were doing.  At the time,  Ambrose Slade was one of Brittains hottest live acts.  Very admirable debut.  It features a number of cover songs, along with their own input as to stamp them with their own brand, contains an eclectic mix.   This is a 1975  brief re-issue by Contour Records,  withdrawn after only a few days due to copyright issues.  The track order is different from the original Beginnings,  placing the groups most well-known tracks at the start on Side One.  The vinyl is in near mint condition.  The cover is in excellent condition.  Contour Records,  #6870 678,  STEREO LP,  UK Import.  Thank you for looking.  (Grading Order;  Mint, Near Mint, Excellent, Very Good+, Very Good, Good, etc...)
