Description
American Beauty, by The Grateful Dead, Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs LP. Super-high quality, half-speed mastered release of the classic Dead album.
The record itself in in excellent condition, and plays beautifully with no scratches, pops, or clicks. Very quiet. It has only been played on a high-quality turntable/phono cartridge. It is in the original anti-static sleeve, and has the original protective gatefold insert. The outer sleeve has moderate shelf wear, and bruised corners (the worst one is in the close-up photo), which also shows the wear on the title-edge). It also has a cut corner - I worked in a record store in the late 70s, and was able to buy records direct from a local distributor. They would sometimes do this so we would not buy these at discounted prices and then return them to a store for a higher value. No problem at the time since I bought it to listen to, not as an investment or collector's item. Time to downsize, though.
