Description
This is a 3 record radio station promo set from the American Top 40 Radio Series. Chart date is 1/7/78. Program #. 781.2. These sets were sent to radio stations that subscribed to this series. Timing sheets are taped to the inside cover of the box. The #40 song that week was "Peg" by Steely Dan. Elvis' "My Way" was at #22 that week. The number one song on the charts that week was "How Deep Is Your Love" by the BeeGees. If you are familiar with Casey Kasem you probably know he founded the American Top 40 franchise in 1970, hosting it from July 4, 1970 to August 6, 1988; and from March 28, 1998 to January 3, 2004. These records look like they were played that week and put away. There are a few marks but I DID NOT PLAY GRADE. The vinyl is very shiny. I have graded them as VG+ simply because I DID NOT PLAY GRADE THEM. They very well may play grade higher because they look pretty nice under a bright light. The box has some issues. I show the tape on the rear edge. There is a mark from a pen on the cover visible above the "M" in the first picture. The timing sheets have check marks probably indicating the play the night it was broadcast.
