Description
Title: Tea For The Tillerman

Jacket: Near mint as new
LP: Near mint as new, 200 gram pressing by Quality Record Pressings (QRP).
Notes: The very first title released under the then new Analogue Productions start up, an in house pressing facility in Salinas Kansas within the Acoustic Sounds company structure. Frustrated with back orders from the few existing pressing plants left, their owner had the foresight to predict an even bigger need for vinyl manufacturing, so after much investment achieved a very high standard and a quality product, thus naming the pressing facility Quality Records.
The team at QRP intentionally used the UK gatefold (which they reproduced & added to, via in-house designer James Wolf). Textured paper inner spread, gloss-print exterior. They also did a facsimile of the original UK pink Island label.
George Marino remastered it at Sterling, using the original Master [that Ted Jensen/Samwell-Smith had remastered at Sterling for the 1999 CD] & notes that Lee Hulko had previously employed at Sterling for the UK/US issues in 1970. Marino cut it using a Neumann VMS 80 lathe with a Neumann SX 74 cutter-head. (This was hooked up to a novel Ampex ATR-102, modified by Mike Spitz at ATR).
