Andy Warhol 11 LP Art Cover Lot. Covers designed, conceived and drawn by Andy Warhol. An instant American Pop Art collection.
Andy Warhol was an American artist, director and producer who was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art. His works explore the relationship between artistic expression, celebrity culture, and advertising that flourished by the 1960s, and span a variety of media, including painting, silk screening, photography, film, and sculpture. Some of his best known works include the silkscreen paintings Campbell's Soup Cans (1962) and Marilyn Diptych (1962), the experimental film Chelsea Girls (1966), and the multimedia events known as the Exploding Plastic Inevitable (1966–67).

1. Any Old Time. Artie Shaw and His Orchestra. RCA Victor Records(LPM-1570). Taking the front theme of clocks Andy drew his own collection on back cover. Conditions: Cover 6 or VG+ some spotting and discolorization/Record 7 or EX black and shiny with just a few light marks.
2. Ravel Daphnis and Chloe. Charles Munch Boston Symphony Orchestra. RCA Victor(LM-1893). Andy contributed artistic design and a few line drawings to various inner pages. Cover 4 or VG spotting, discolorization, hard stock gatefold/Record 3 or VG- numerous marks.
3. John Cale. Honi Soti. A & M Records(SP-4849). Andy designed the cover concept. Cover 8 or NM- excellent vibrant cover, gold stamped promo on back/Record 8 or NM- black and shiny.
4. Paul Anka. The Painter. United Artists(UA-LA653-G). Andy designed inner and outer cover. Cover 7 or EX high gloss cover with edge chipping/Record 7 or EX+ black and shiny with light sleeve rubs.
5. Billy Squier. Emotions in Motion. Capitol Records(ST-12217). Andy designed inner and outer cover. Cover 7 or EX high gloss cover with edge chipping and discolorization/Record 7+ or EX+ black and shiny with light sleeve rubs.
6. Diana Ross. Silk Electric. RCA Records(AFL1-4384). Andy designed inner and outer cover. Cover 7 or EX high gloss gatefold cover with edge chipping/Record 7+ or EX+ black and shiny with light sleeve rubs.
7. Debbie Harry. French Kiss. Geffen Records(0-205750). 12" Single. Andy designed the outer cover. In rarer orange variation. Cover 7 or EX high gloss cover with DJ sticker front and back/Record 7+ or EX+ black and shiny with light sleeve rubs.
8. Aretha Franklin. Jimmy Lee. Arista Records(AD1-9547). 12" single. Andy designed the outer cover. Cover 7 or EX high gloss cover with DJ sticker front and remnant of one on back/Record 7+ or EX+ black and shiny with light sleeve rubs.
9. Aretha Franklin. Aretha. Arista Records(AL-8442). Andy designed the inner and outer cover. Cover 7 or EX high gloss cover with some edge chipping/Record 7+ or EX+ black and shiny with light sleeve rubs.
10. The Rolling Stones. Love You Live. Rolling Stones Records(COC-2-9001). Double Album. Andy designed the inner sleeves and outer cover. The inner sleeves were left out of later pressings. Cover 7 or EX medium gloss cover with some edge chipping/Record 7+ or EX+ black and shiny with light sleeve rubs.
11. The Rolling Stones. Sticky Fingers. Rolling Stones Records(COC-59100). One of Andy's most talked about designed outer covers. The working zipper sleeve allowed one to peer onto Jagger's package. The controversy was real and the art is revealing. Cover 7 or EX zippered cover with some edge chipping/Record 7 or EX black and shiny with a few light surface marks.
