Description
Andy Warhol Album Artwork from 1955. Ravel's "Daphnis and Chloe" RCA #LM-1893 Charles Munch and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Beautiful fold open hard cover album with a 14 page booklet with four full page Warhol sketches and one titled intro sketch.
Condition of the cover is VG++ (just missing near mint) with very very slight shelf wear on the back (blank cover), slight age yellowing on the back cover along the spine. One very slight paper ding on the top spine. No seam splits, creased corners or writing. Nice strong (non cracked) binder and spine. Still very hard to open.
The record is VG++ just missing near mint with very slight loss of gloss. Plays with slight noise in quiet moments. Could use a record vacuum and cleaning to bring it up to near mint. The record stampers are 10S and 11S.
This is the original 1955 pressing with the cover size being 13" x 12.25" (oversized cover). The reprints were 12 x 12" (standard album size). Beautiful piece. Album art at its very best.
