Angelic Upstarts - The murder of Liddle Towers b/w police oppression

You can forget your Small Wonder records re-release, this is the genuine article - the self financed, independently released 1978 single 'The murder of Liddle Towers'.

Produced in limited numbers, this single was sold at early gigs, and through local record shops making this one of the, if not THE most desirable Upstarts collectable. It was included in Record Collectors recent 'top 100 most collectable punk singles' with a conservative estimate of £50+.

Rarely seen for sale, this item is offered in ex+/ex+ condition. The sleeve shows some storage marks though this could be remedied over time, and also shows ageing to the top of the sleeve. The vinyl shows few signs of being played. This item has sat in my private collection for 20 years and I have never played the item!!!!

UPDATED INFO 09/07/06

It is clear this item has created a lot of interest, and so for the avoidance of doubt I will expand on my previous grading comments. The sleeve has storage marks to the front and rear, but as I say, this could be remedied with time. Other than this marking, the sleeve is straight with no rips or tears. I mention ageing and would advise this has shown itself as brown speckling on the very top front edge and to the rear right hand side of the sleeve.

The vinyl is still very shiny on both sides, but the side 2 label shows a solitary spindle mark. This was there when purchased as I have never played this item in 20 years of ownership.

I have attached some more photos to try and show the ageing to the sleeve, and hope that my revised comments assist you all in considering your bids, BUT SHOULD ANYONE REQUIRE BETTER PHOTOS THAN I CAN PROVIDE VIA EBAY, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME AND I WILL GLADLY EMAIL WHAT PHOTOS I HAVE
