Here I have for sale the original British release of the soundtrack to the cult 1992 movie 'The Crying Game', directed by Neil Jordan. The film – about an IRA member forming a friendship with a British Army soldier – starred Jaye Davidson, Stephen Rea, Forest Whitaker and Miranda Richardson.

As a souvenir of the movie, the soundtrack is a success.

Condition (refer also to notes at bottom):
Vinyl – EX. Both sides look superbly clean on visual inspection. No obvious signs of wear or scratches. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is superb. Owned since bought new 25 years ago. Only played a few times since and stored responsibly.
Outer sleeve (cover) – EX. A few light nicks in the corners; minor edge wear and some creasing and folds. Minor disc showthrough outline is evident.
Inner picture sleeve – EX. Original. Black sleeve with images from the film. Minor creases and corner nicks but intact.

The movie that gave new meaning to the line "I know all there is to know about the crying game" has a soundtrack that features both Dave Berry's 1964 U.K. hit version of the title track and Boy George's remake, which was a U.S. hit.

That track, and a few others, were produced by those gender-benders Pet Shop Boys, while Lyle Lovett sings his version of Tammy Wynette's "Stand By Your Man" and there is some orchestral scoring by Anne Dudley.

As a souvenir of the movie, the soundtrack is a success.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
