Description
Here is a great 1981 release on the Pro-Arte label (3PAL-3001). Anner Bylsma in performances of Bach's suites for unaccompanied cello: No. 1 in G, BWV 1007, No. 2 in D Minor, BWV 1008, No. 3 in C, BWV 1009, No. 4 in E Flat, BWV 1010, No. 5 in C Minor, BWV 1011, and No. 6 in D, BWV 1012. Triple-album boxed stereo release, includes original insert booklet.
Condition - The box shows light wear. The box grades at VG+. The records are shiny with light hints of use. They sound generally sound nice too, but like many records pressed by Pro-Arte, there are some visual flaws that seem to be caused by a pressing problems or the use of low quality vinyl. The surface of most records have discolorations, that for the most part do not sound. I listened to some tracks on most sides and most sounded pretty good, but there are some portions of some sides that had some light but persistent background static, particularly side 6. Ant there are some ticks here and there on most sides as well. So, while the records appear to be hardly used, I will give them a VG+ visual grade due to the visual flaws. A listening grade would be more like Near Mint Minus on most sides, though there are some parts that grade lower, especially side 6, which sounded more like weak VG+ for the first few minutes, but then improved.
Regarding shipping - I ship quickly using new professional grade materials.
Regarding grading - I try to grade by Goldmine standards. I do not use the grade Mint on unsealed opened records. The highest grade I give to unsealed records is Near Mint. Grading here is strictly by sight.
