Description

Very hard to find set here.  This is Ernest Ansermet conducting L'Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake.  This 2 LP set is on the Decca label (SXL-2107-8) out of the U.K. and is the original WBG pressing from 1959.  Laminated, top loading gatefold jacket also contains a booklet.  Jacket is decent overall with light shelf wear.  Booklet is in decent shape as well but has become detached from the upper staple.  Discs are quite nice with light play.  There are some surface rubs to each disc but nothing that appears as if it would negatively impact play.  Nice clean labels with minimal spindle marks.  Would have no problem calling each disc VG+ in terms of condition and it is quite likely that they will play better than that.  A very nice piece overall and highly sought after.  Somebody might enjoy this as a holiday present!  I'll start it quite low so that everybody has a chance at this prize.  Good luck to all bidders and enjoy!  (All my albums are shipped in sturdy record mailers by USPS Media Mail)
