Beethoven: Pastoral SymphonyLondon CS 6160 - LP - stereo
Offering one 33 1/3 rpm LP from the early days of stereo records. LP at hand is an original first press London FFSS (Full Frequency Stereophonic Sound) disc, made in the England. First pressings of these LP's (made from approx. 1958 to 1962), are characterized by a number of features-most notably the blue-colored back covers. The are also highly prized for their audiophile-quality sound, which was considerably ahead of it's time. Copy at hand has all the desirable features: blueback cover, the FFSS wideband label with "Made In England at the bottom, the deep groove label. Dead wax bears the following markings: 1E/1E, 1/1, C/C, ZAL.
Cover is clean with slight wear only. Original price sticker remains on the front at top left. Cover grade is Excellent Plus.
Vinyl (housed in original London FFSS sleeve) is clean and glossy with only a couple of minor spindle marks on side one. Vinyl grade is Excellent Plus. Following a triple cleaning on our VPI machine, we play-tested the disc and found that it plays extremely well with only minor surface noise and rich sound!
