Look up this triple album on the quirky inconstantsol blog, and you'll find the following comments: 

• This has been on my 'most wanted' list since first coming across mention of it in '74 or '75.
• Braxton was riding such a massive creative peak in the mid 70's... this is so good!!
• Allow me to add my voice to the chorus of thank you thank you and thank you. I saw a copy of this in a shop a year or so ago for 200 dollars.
• Wow! This one appears to be completely off the radar. I've got quite a bit of Braxton's 70's output but I wasn't aware of this one.

This amazing set was the very first concert of Braxton's Creative Music Orchestra, recorded at the Chatellerault Festival in 1972 after a week of rehearsals. Although discogs.com lists it as released in 1972, the four-page booklet with the box set notes that "the tape material has been hidden all the time in a quiet corner of Braxton's house in Woodstock/USA. in 1972 no record producer was interested in the 'Creative Music Orchestra' - times are changing", which suggests a later release date. Wikipedia's Braxton discography helpfully omits it completely, and other discographies just list the recording date. Does anyone care? ....  

The LPs are in very good condition [as defined at Discogs] from close visual inspection. The box has gentle wear to the edges, but nothing surprising for a box set from the 1970s.
