top 5 greatest electro records ever made, must have!  Dark, disturbing, politically incorrect - and utterly fantastic. Hollow, tinny drum machine, pseudo hip hop bass, an almost comically deep male vocoder and eerie synth chords all mix together with perfect timing and precision for night driving or the dance floor. A sonic, and perhaps even more notably, thematic departure in techno music that was never really explored again by Rother or anyone else. An evil update of Kraftwerk for the cynical late nineties street corners of Amsterdam.

High quality Detroit electro from Mad Mike. The sense of subversion and paranoia is tangible in this excellent track (vocal and instrumental versions present). Fat beats, hollow bouncing synth atmosphere, massive chunky baseline and awesome kraftwerk detroit strings plus a classic Detroit electro monotone vocal! A tune that occupies the upper echelons of Direct Beat's and UR's already elevated chambers in the Electro halls of fame.
On the flip we have two more electro grooves - "Digital" is a fairly silly hollow plipping repetitive workout, and "CR-8000" chugs along nicely but never really goes anywhere. Top mixing fodder for Electro jocks though.
