Condition- Visually Graded. About 1” scratch (most likely done with fingernail) unlikely to be heard. Clean- light dust. VG+

In January 1902, the first Gramophone Concert Record labels appeared on 10-inch discs. The Monarch designation for 12-inch discs was used from as early as June 1903 to as late as 1924
These records use the “concert” and “monarch” labels, which were replaced by the more well known label ‘His Masters Voice” in August 1910.
Red labels were introduced as early as March 1902 for both size discs. These generally indicated the more outstanding performers, e.g., Caruso, Plançon, De Luca, Ancona, and Scotti, while less well known artists were given black labels.
These records can be a rare and prized collector's item for those interested in antique and vintage gramaphone records. Please let me know if you have any questions.
