Description
This is one of the original test pressings of Rephlex CAT 034, the unreleased Analogue Bubblebath 5 record by AFX (Aphex Twin) from 1995. If I remember correctly, only 10 of these initial test pressings were made. This item is not one of the second batch pressings issued to Analord customers in 2005.
This copy plays excellently, with no skips. Unfortunately, there are two scratches which I should point out. The first scratch (see image 3) is a long cosmetic scratch on Side A. However, this scratch looks worse than it actually is and is not noticeable during playback. I think if you hadn’t seen the scratch, you wouldn’t realise it was there. The second scratch (see image 4) is a short hairline scratch in the first half of Track 1. This scratch is audible during playback and sounds like a light ‘click’. The letter ‘A’ is handwritten on the label of Side A, and the release details are handwritten in the corner of the original paper sleeve. An unmarked sleeve from the same manufacturer and period can be sent instead if preferred.
This copy is being sold with the knowledge and approval of Mr Twin himself.
