I am a private seller not a trader or record dealer, all these records are from my own personal collection. Most of them were acquired in the early to mid-nineties so I have lots of first pressings of indie/alternative acts of that era as well as other classics I picked up along the way.
This is the limited (10,000 copies) brown vinyl edition from 1994. This is number 7528 and includes the original insert and 4 stickers.
It would be fair to say I'm not in the best state of mind to fully appreciate this work, but having just listened to all six sides to check the quality I do think I'll have trouble sleeping tonight. Some of it is downright scary. If the sound of electronic cattle in distress with a baby cackling over the top is to your taste then this is perfect for you! Presumably, if you are even looking at this listing you already know what to expect.
SLEEVE CONDITION: See the photos, there are signs of wear mostly along the edges but pretty good generally. You can see slight rings from where the records have been inside.
INSERT and STICKERS: The insert is perfect apart from a slight fold on the bottom right corner (see photo). All four original stickers are present, two of them are creased (shown in photo)
VINYL CONDITION: The records look slightly mottled, and there are some slight artifacts on some sides but I presume this is due to the colouring process. Aside from the finish there is just some minor handling marks visible on Side 1/2/3/4, they look really clean. Side 5/6 has some more visible surface marking and tiny white speck defect (see below)
LISTENING NOTES:
Side 1/2 (the record with the "greener" labels) has very minor crackle, it sounds in very good condition. No scratches or loud pops on this one.
Side 3/4 - Some very minor crackle. Slight clicking on track 2/3, side 4. Sounds brilliant for the most part.
Side 5/6 has a bit of crackle throughout, maybe more than the other two records. There is one tiny little scratch/loop in playback which I was listening to for ten minutes before I realised it wasn't supposed to be doing it. It's in track 2 on side 6, the one with the brownest label that has a picture that looks like an extreme close up of a guinea pigs a*se. (EDIT, the scratch is on the track sometimes known as Tassels on Side 6 - thanks wikipedia!) Looking at the vinyl I can see a tiny white speck defect on the vinyl where this is happening (see photo).
