Description
Selling-up my extensive record collection. Lots of interesting LPs in the collection - do have a look at my other items, and there are new listings every week. I may have obscure things that you didn't even know you wanted!
Original copies of "666" are hideously expensive, so a cheaper 1977 copy gives those who are ordinarily financially-endowed, a chance to hear it. And the other record is a UK "Best-Of", probably from 1975.
Pictures are my own photos of the items for sale. Photos are part of the description, have a good look.
Rain And Tears -
Cover - This is laminated on both sides, and is in very nice condition. Front is slightly wavy, probably due to the lamination expanding differently to the card, over the years. There is a little grubbiness along the bottom of the back, where lamination doesn't quite reach the edge.
Record - I cannot see any damage at all on this record.
666 -
Cover - The cover is very sound, not split, torn or written-on. There are some little crease in from edges. Some scoring / long indentations on the front. There is some kind of staining, in a line on left side, and near the bottom of the front, and along and near the spine. A little wear around the edges and a small bump at top of the spine.
Record - Has Vertigo "spaceship" labels. Three sides very good - disk two side 1 has a small mark on the last track, and there is a tiny lump in the vinyl on track 4. On disc two side two there is a long light fingernail-like mark on track 1. Disk one side two looks excellent. Disk one side 1 has a very noticeable long mark which runs from track 3 to track 6 - this mark is like an accident I've had myself, if one drops a record and it hits a sharp corner of a piece of furniture on the way down.
I have been collecting records for 50 years (when finances allowed!), and now it's time to sell-up. I bought them mostly around local shops (second-hand), but sometimes from e-bay, and sometimes new, for my favourite bands.
When I'm checking for damage on records, I look at them carefully with my reading glasses on, in good daylight. This method detects any bits of damage that will affect what you hear when listening to it - and lots that are not audible. Using a spotlight or direct sunlight shows more surfacey marks sometimes, but I don't do that - records are for listening to, not trying to see your face in.
I do my best for my customers, on postal costs. You can send at least six LPs for the Post Office's £2.95 "small parcel" deal. Do feel free to pass on this information to any sellers who charge an extra pound (or whatever) per additional record - that's going straight into their pockets.
Feel free to ask me stuff. I won't end auctions early, and won't split the lots.
Postage at cost within UK - £3.00 plus 50p for a proper record mailer Happy to do combined postage wherever practical.
I'm happy to send this overseas. See below for details, if bidding from outside UK - you need to know this stuff.
Dispatch will usually be "next day".
Collection in person is welcome.
I don't mail things personally, to countries outside the UK - ( I mean it, don't ask) - but I am happy to use E-Bay UK's Global Shipping Program, for sending things abroad. Under this scheme, I send the parcel to an e-bay depot in UK, and they forward it to the overseas buyer.
They have a tracked courier service, for the journey from their UK depot, to the buyer.
This means that I can ONLY accept payments through e-bay (Pay Now button), and I can't send invoices.
E-Bay UK tells me, they do NOT do combined postage in the Global Shipping Programme. Charges to the customer for delivery are whatever you're told they are - if you don't want to pay the postal / courier charges, then do not bid.
International buyers should be able to see a postage cost to their country, you may have to input your location, if your country is included in the scheme.
If your country is not mentioned, please do not bid.
International postage to the following countries will be shown (this is the latest list that I've seen - lotta countries!)
Australia Austria Belgium Bulgaria Canada Croatia Cyprus Czech Republic Denmark Finland France Germany Greece Hungary Ireland Israel Italy Japan Lithuania Luxembourg Malta Netherlands New Zealand Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand Turkey Norway Poland Portugal Romania Russia Slovakia Slovenia Spain Sweden, United States, Antigua & Barbuda Aruba Bangladesh Barbados Belize Bermuda Bolivia Brunei Darussalam Cambodia Cayman Islands Dominica Ecuador Egypt French Guiana Gibraltar Grenada Guadeloupe Guernsey Iceland Jersey Jordan Liechtenstein Macau Maldives Martinique Monaco Montserrat Nicaragua Oman Pakistan Paraguay Peru Reunion Saint Kitts & Nevis Saint Lucia Sri Lanka and Turks & Caicos Islands
International postage plus applicable customs charges will probably be shown to buyers in the following non-EU countries - E-Bay collects customs duty for the receiving country: Australia, Brazil, Canada, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, Russia and USA, and wherever else import duty is appropriate - e.g. Norway.
I WILL DEFINITELY NOT post to countries that are not included in the above lists, and I don't send to China.
