Aretha Franklin - 'Aretha Arrives'
Here is an original, 1st pressing of simply one of the greatest albums to ever come out of the 1960's soul scene: 'Aretha Arrives'!!!
As you can see, this is the true plum Atlantic label; indicative of its 60's originality.
This is a Mono pressing - one in which I think goes truly unrivalled by later mixes. Later pressings, in my opinion, simply do not have the same punchy, authentic sound (especially much later editions on flimsy vinyl!).
This is 'the real deal' - quality pressed 60s vinyl. The newer 180g reissues cannot beat it. Very difficult to find nowadays - just take a look elsewhere (they're certainly not in abundance) - making it incredibly sought after, collectable and rare.
Combining this with the fact that it is simply an astonishing album, some argue her best, it makes it a piece not to miss out on.

Vinyl (fully play tested)
Track 1: 3 hisses, 1 jump, then virtually no surface noise/crackle (towards the start of the track) Track 2: mild background, hiss, crackle lessens, mild crackle until music kicks in then fades, crackle gone. Track 3: mild crackle to start, eases as music kicks in Track 4: Nice from beginning EX Track 5: EX Track 6: EX

Visually I would say this surface looks about around a VG. It displays lots of wispy hairlines and sleeve removal marks - which, as you can see from the play test, are most cosmetic. There are a number of other marks which perhaps 'look' more daunting (a handful on each side) but are merely non-feelable, and therefore pretty much trouble free!
Please note that this has been graded on my personal setup - which, admittedly, is quite a sensitive one - meaning that the playback on your system may differ. Hopefully for systems less sensitive as mine, it will play even better than I have graded it! However, if you know that you are an extremely picky listener please just assume one grade lower than Ive put - as I don't have the time to be debating grades over the internet due to a lack of time!

Around VG - scuff to the edges (see the top of it in particular). needs re-glueing as it as came apart all the way along (going to slightly split the spine). A little bit of DIY will fix this no problem. overall a nice, clean example of what is an extremely delicate cover anyways. A really nice presentable piece - suitable for most collectors I would imagine.
I will pack well, in a proper record mailer with stiffeners and bubble wrap.
Record will have a brand new, solid PVC sleeve to protect it, and, the vinyl will be placed in an antistatic inner (just a little gesture!).
