Description
Potato Head Blues" is a composition regarded as one of Armstrong's finest recordings for Okeh in Chicago, Illinois on May 10, 1927. It was recorded during a remarkably productive week in which Armstrong's usual Hot Five was temporarily expanded to seven players by the addition of tuba and drums; over five sessions the group recorded twelve sides. Put 'Em Down Blues on flip side.
Good condition. Zoom in on record and you will see minimal light scratches ...has small crack on outer rim as seen in photo above. Does NOT interfere with good playing of record. We do not have the original cover. Will take more pics if you request it. A must have for a jazz/blues collector. I see the same record sold for over $1,300 on Ebay recently. It was in MINT condition though. We have never seen another one in over 40 years of buying records.
