The record includes 2 tracks by Arnett Cobb and His Orch. with Cobb, tenor sax, Ed"Tiger"Lewis, trumpet; Al Gray, trombone; Lloyd Mayers, piano and more from 1956. 4 tracks with Julian Dash and His Orch. with Dash, tenor sax; Hank Marr, piano; Bill English, drums and more from 1955. 4 tracks with Jay McShann and His Orch. with McShann, piano; Orville "Piggy"Minor, trumpet; Priscilla Bowman, vocal; "Fats"Dennis, tenor sax and more from 1955. 4 tracks with King Kolax and His Orch. with Kolax, vocal and trumpet; Harold Ousley, tenor sax; "Cowboy" Martin, bass and more from 1954,'55. All recorded in Chicago.
Cover: Mint(-) Soft European jacket. Intact and clean with slight aging. Fine condition. The cover has an excellent aerial view of the metropolitan center of Chicago including the Wrigley Building, Chicago River, the Lake front, etc. This is how this area of Chicago looked in the '50's.
Record: Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. No markings on the vinyl surface. Possibly played only a very few times with care. A very few clicks and a very small number of light crackles. Possibly some slight, barely audible groove noise for 1 or 2 revolutions. Virtually plays like new. Audibly checked.
