For Sale - Vinyl 12 LP by Art Bears called Winter Songs on the Ralph Records Label
Pink Record Label US release with Ralph Records Buy or Die inner sleeve and including a foldout insert with photos, illustrations, lyrics and credits.

This record was purchased by me on release around 1979. I used a Phillips 212-A Turntable with a Grado cartridge and I always handle my records with the thumb and index finger method (no edge pinching) I use the Diskwasher method of preening the dust off the record at all plays and flips per side. Kept in a smoke free, pet free household. 
I did a radio show back in the day and was exposed to a lot of music, if I wasn't on the air, I was listening to the radio. The Station was a local College station and another was a user supported independent radio station. DJ's competed on who could find the best music and many records were ordered from out of the local market. 
Art Bears were an English avant-rock group formed during the disassembly of Henry Cow in 1978 by three of its members, Chris Cutler (percussion, texts), Fred Frith (guitar, bass guitar, violin, keyboards) and Dagmar Krause (vocals; previously of Slapp Happy). The group released three studio albums between 1978 and 1981, and toured Europe in 1979.
Their music was "very dark in concept and in atmosphere".[5] Reviewing The Art Box, BBC Music described it as: "Carefully wrought dissonances, angular folk tunes, sudden shifts in dynamics, dense layers of spectral drones, slabs of noise, topped off with Dagmar's strange, elastic Sprechstimme.
 AllMusic wrote: "Their life was fleeting, but the Art Bears wrote and recorded bold, challenging, idiosyncratic music that, despite its occasional difficulty, is ultimately very rewarding."

Notes USA release with pink labels on disc (the UK original version on R? Records has green labels). Including a foldout insert with photos, illustrations, lyrics and credits.  Some copies come with a sticker on sleeve, and with the official Ralph Records Buy or Die inner sleeve. 
Recorded at Sunrise Studio Kirchberg CH.95.30 by us & Etienne Conod between Nov 22 & Dec 5 1978.  Cut by Nimbus, Weyastone Leys, Monmouth. 
Cover art by Art Bear IV, also Anon (anonymous?).  The photographs are all from the Stylobate of Amiens Cathedral, except 'The bath of Stars' from Notre-Dame, Paris & 'Force' from the tomb of François II Duc de Bretagne in Nantes Cathedral.

One thing I ask that you consider, you are buying this record from the original owner and I took good care and I know where this record has been played. 
I do rely on good pictures but I have yet to figure out how to show images in micro detail of the grooves. All my pictures are reflecting the fabric cube that I take the pictures in and that makes the weird reflections on the vinyl. Mainly if you look in the runout section you can see how clean they are.  The reason I do not list returns is I only have one copy of the record and so if I had many copies sure I could offer returns. So please study closely and consider all aspects of this offering. I do promise your satisfaction if you contact me with your concerns, I am sure we can work something out together.
