Description
This is Blue Note Records BLP 1507, The Jazz Messengers A Night At The Cafe Bohemia Volume 1, a blue and white 767 Lexington Ave. NYC, Microgroove, deep groove label, early mono issue of this classic record with the ear (p) mark and RVG etched in the dead wax. There is no flat edge. The record is in VG+(+) condition, (a strong VG+) showing a few marks. The record plays quietly throughout. The cover, with the 43 West 61st St. New York 23 address, and blank spine, has some shelf wear and a name in pen on the back and a 2" split on the top seam and a 3" split on the bottom. This is not the original frame cover but the 2nd issue. The labels are excellent and show only light spindle marks. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12 in mono mode. This is an excellent collector's grade copy of this early Lexington Ave. mono Blue Note with many appropriate markers evident.
