FORMAT: 10” Vinyl, LP, Album, Original deep groove mono press. Considered to be the ultimate in audio quality for Blue Note LPs, these are the source of the much touted of the “Blue Note Sound.”
CONDITION OF VINYL NOTES: A night at Birdland Vol. 1 release by Jazz artist Art Blakey, and a quintet which featured Clifford Brown, Lou Donaldson, Horace Silver and Curly Russell. It is the First released by Blue Note Records as 10”. The recording was produced by Alfred Lion and engineered by Rudy Van Gelder for Blue Note. Announcement by Pee Wee Marquette; Original 767 Lexington Ave NYC. Label deep groove mono press with Ear logo on both sides in the dead wax area.
SIDE 1 and 2: Very Good (Strong VG), Some visible surface wear, and scuffs that cause sporadically surface noise, but do not overpower the music. I cleaned the record with my ultrasonic machine, and I played both sides of the record several times and you can hear sporadic hisses. No pops or skips. a very nice copy for a 67 years old record.
CONDITION OF SLEEVE: Good Plus (G+), Covers are worn and used, Seams already splits. Damaged corners, tears, larger writing in the back, discoloration and fraying. Otherwise artwork still eligible.
