Mono pressing.
Classic hard bop session featuring Art Blakey, Lee Morgan, Benny Golson, Bobby Timmons, and Jymie Merritt. Includes the iconic tracks “Moanin’,” “Blues March,” and “Along Came Betty.”
Blue/white Blue Note labels with “47 West 63rd NYC” address. Deep groove labels. RVG stamp visible in deadwax. Original mono issue characteristics present.
Record condition is considerably stronger than the cover. Vinyl retains solid gloss with moderate surface marks/light scuffs visible under strong light. Should play much better than the jacket appearance would suggest.
Cover is in fair condition with heavy wear, edge splitting, corner wear, chipping, surface wear, and discoloration/aging throughout. Back cover has foxing/spotting and handling wear. Please review all photos carefully for exact cosmetic condition.
A desirable early Blue Note title and an important Jazz Messengers recording.
