Description
Art Blakey & the Jazz Messengers-Self-titled LP, Blue Note BLP 4003, released in 1959. Scarce first pressing (I think), not a re-issue. I know there are several variations in the Blue Note pressings. This one has the "47 West 63rd, NY" address on the deep grooved LP labels, "RVG" is machine stamped in the dead wax and the "ear/"P" symbol is hand etched in the dead wax. If this is incorrect for a first press, please let me know. Vinyl, VISUALLY graded by Goldmine standards, is in VG condition, with several light marks, non-feelable marks; a few more on side two than one. Both sides still gleam. Cover is also in VG condition with some general age/ring wear, nothing severe. Classic LP, in overall very nice shape.
