Description
Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers CARAVAN - Analogue Productions 2LP 45rpm edition, SEALED and Near Mint! - This record ROCKS. Featuring the great Freddie Hubbard, the LEGENDARY Wayne Shorter, and virtuoso trombonist Curtis Fuller...AND Cedar Walton and Reggie Workman! Another great version of the Jazz Messengers. Here's your chance to get this long out of print rarity at a fair market price!
Condition: There is a small ding along the upper rear of the cover, approximately 1 inches long (please see Picture 3).
ABOUT 45 RPM PRESSINGS While some folks don't like the 45 RPM format (yes, you do have to get up and change sides more often), it's not hype: with more vinyl real estate for your stylus to operate within, volume levels are maintained consistently across all tracks (with 33 1/3, as you get closer to the inner groove you will lose volume because the grooves get smaller), and there's LOTS more room for the bass frequencies. A mastering engineer has to juggle all these factors, usually leading to certain compromises, when pressing at 33 1/3. The common wisdom in the audiophile community is that, when done well, 45 rpm pressings are as close as you'll get to the master tape.
About Me: I'm a long time Ebay buyer intent on selling a significant portion of my LP collection over the next year or two (or three!). I believe in the auction process, so I'm NOT going to list records at absurdly high prices, and I look forward to getting rare, out of print records into the hands of music lovers, record collectors and audiophiles (I consider myself all of the above). All LPS stored in a smoke-free, climate controlled environment.
Please check my feedback and BID WITH CONFIDENCE. Also, please take a look at other items I'm listing (including Buy-It-Now, high quality titles at bargain prices), and good luck!
