Side A:  “Thème De Yoyo”, “Thème De Céline”, “Variations Sur Un Thème De Monteverdi (I)”

Side B:  “Variations Sur Un Thème De Monteverdi (II)”, “Proverbes (I)”, “Thème Amour Universal”, “Thème Libre”, “Proverbes (II)”

As I understand it, there were 4 (!) U.S. pressings in 1971.  This appears to be the 3rd pressing.

Personnel:

Vocals – Fontella Bass

Saxophone, Percussion – Joseph Jarman, Roscoe Mitchell

Trumpet, Percussion – Lester Bowie

Double Bass – Malachi Favors

Vinyl:  The vinyl retains some glossiness.  It has a number of light/minor marks, but nothing deep or “feel-able”.  The record plays through with light surface noise and minor clicks and pops that are noticeable in the quieter passages.

Cover:  The front and back covers have significant ring/rubwear.  The front  cover has a file sticker along the lower left side.  There is no writing on the covers and the seams are in tact.  The spine has worn down to the cardboard in the middle (approx. 3”). (see photos)
