Description
Here is a great release on the Blue Note label with records in unusually good condition. It's Album No. 104 which features 3 ten-ich reords by Art Hodes Hot 7: 550, 551, 552. This 78 set features Willie the Weeper, Bujie, Mr. Jelly Lord, Wolverine Blues, I never Knew What a Girl Could Do and Chicago Gal.
Condition - The jacket looks nice from the front and back, but the spine is completely broken, so it opens into three pieces: front cover, back cover and the spine with envelopes holding the records. The jacket grades at G. The records are very shiny, most with very limited signs of use, but some signs of age. Records 550 and 551 appear shiny with light hints of play and light signs of age on the labels. Records 550 and 551 grade at Near Mnt Minus. Record 552 is also shiny, but it has some marks on both sides, thought the marks appear small and light. 552 grades at E+.
Regarding shipping - I ship quickly using new professional grade materials. Regarding grading - I try to grade by Goldmine standards. I do not use the grade Mint or on unsealed opened records. The highest grade I give to unsealed records is Near Mint. Grading here is strictly by sight.
