Recorded in Japan in 1979, LANDSCAPE finds altoist Pepper in very fine form, joined by George Cables on piano, Tony Dumas on bass, and Billy Higgins on drums.

The sessions were recorded in concert at Shiba Yubin Chokin Hall, Tokyo, the mix by the very talented Tamaki Bekku, mastering by George Horn at Fantasy.

Great selections include TRUE BLUES, SOMETIME, LANDSCAPE, AVALON, OVER THE RAINBOW, and STRAIGHT LIFE.

Cover of this edition has minor shelf; record inside is the original Galaxy platter, which should play near mint.
