Art Pepper Quartet - Original 1957 Mono Tampa RS-1001 VG/VG
This is the rare original deep groove pressing of Art Pepper “Quartet” on Tampa RS 1001.
Vinyl has a flat rim playing surface. Vinyl groove wear is evident on sight, as are many light scratches but NOT deep enough to feel with a fingernail. This copy has moderate surface noise throughout. Surface noise is especially significant at the beginning of each side (maybe even VG-). Surface noise will not overpower the music but can still be heard throughout, again especially loud at the beginning of each side.
The right and bottom seam have been taped long ago. Top right seam still has a 2 inch split at top.
There is a complete split in the top seam which was also taped at some time. That is where the previous owner inserted and took out the LP.
Back cover has "Ray" written in pencil.
