Description

The Tatum- Carter- Bellson Trio     Clef 643      mono deep groove trumpet label  

 

Art Tatum (p), Benny Carter (as), Louis Bellson (d)  Recorded 1954

 

Black and silver label with deep groove and "trumpet". No  address on back cover. Cover is "frame" style without printing on spine.

 

  A super clean record and cover. Hard to believe you will find better. 

 Record looks and plays stunning M-, quietly and beautifully.  No scuffs and no scratches.  Grooves are bright, glossy and look unplayed.  This record was found in an unopened plastic bag.               

The cover is a gorgeous M-.

  The front cover is shiny with no wear. The David Stone Martin art looks fantastic.  The back cover has little or no wear. No split seams.  Seams and spine show little or no wear and are undamaged. Corners are tight and sharp. Tiniest hint of wear at the bottom of the pocket. 

  I WILL BE RUNNING WEEKLY AUCTIONS OF 50s and 60s JAZZ LPS INC BLUE NOTE  1500s PRESTIGE NYCs TRANSITIONS ETC. MANY WEEKS AND SOME HIGH END ITEMS TO COME.

 My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- etc. I play grade any potential problem areas.  I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied.  No hassles.
