Art Taylor on Prestige 7117 Inscribed

This is the original RVG-stamped deep-groove pressing of Art Taylor “Taylor’s Wailers” on the West 50th St. labels of Prestige PRLP 7117.  Side 1 has an inaudible scuff and hairline; Side 2 has an inaudible hairline; otherwise, the playing surfaces are in beautiful condition, with a nice luster; perhaps played once or twice; “Not for Sale” stamped on Side B label.  The laminated West 50th Street cover is in excellent condition; the back slick shows moderate shelf wear; ”Not for Sale”  stamped at the left edge; the upper left corner is inscribed: “To my pal Art, Best Always, Art Taylor”.  Personnel include Donald Byrd, John Coltrane, Jackie McLean, Charlie Rouse, Red Garland, and Paul Chambers.
