Description
So is approaching 50 years young but this great original example of the 1970 Made In England / UK Blue Horizon 7-63855 LP in mono by the legendary Arthur Crudup belies its' age.
The cover is of the ubiquitous BH hard card type. There are no seam splits, rips, tears or writing and the corners are sharp albeit show a smidgin of wear. Both the mouth and spine are in good nick. Typically these covers have ringwear and some edge wear and this joins the club plus the shadowing you see in the photo is a corner crease front top right. That said, it's a nice solid example and condition wise I would rate it 8/10.
For the record itself the machine etched matrix numbers are 7-63855-A1 for side one and respectively A2 for side two. Note that side one has a 'previous' matrix number erased. The labels are very clean with signs of a single play only each side (ie token spindle track marks). Note the manufacturing blemish on the paper label on side one near track 2 title.
And the vinyl is in very nice and shiny condition; obviously has seen minimal action as described above. In room light it looks mint but angling under a searching and always unforgiving table light I see some paper scuffs which is expected seeing the plastic has lived in its' inner sleeve for the past 47 years! I'm being very critical of course but that said I'd rate the vinyl 9/10 for condition and it would grace any collection.
As for the inner sleeve it's the original and intact plain die cut paper jobby with signs of age browning. I'll include it obviously but I'll transport the vinyl in a poly lined sleeve and outside the cover to avoid 'knifing' the latter. And because of the LP value I'll pack with a non-bendable liner so we can all sleep easy.
