Early creators of psychedelic trance, astral dub, experimental techno and ambient dance, Astralasia first got together in 1990 and nearly 30 years on are still lead by Marc Swordfish and still producing great music - live and on record. Marc has delivered two great double albums for Fruits de Mer in 'Oceania' and 'Wind On Water', but he's also provided many remixes and re-imaginings of other bands' tracks over the years - usually on bonus CDs or limited-run special editions releases on the label. Marc and FdM decided to revisit all those tracks and we've come up with a double LP that brings together some of our favourites, including remixes of tracks that were originally recorded for FdM by Sendelica, The Chemistry Set and Superfjord, and one or two things re-worked by Marc specially for this release. It's mainly instrumental, ranges from Eastern-tinged throbbing rock to swirling soundscapes, and it deserves to be heard on vinyl.
