This audiophile set is pressed on 180 gram vinyl by Alto Records and released in limited edition in 1997. Long out of print. The LPs were remastered by Nick Webb at EMI's Abbey Road studios using original master tapes from Spain and a completely analog mastering chain. The box is beautifully constructed and includes a booklet of liner notes. Each LP is included in a separate jacket reproduced from the original.
The outer box is scuffed, and split at one corner. The liner notes, and each of the 7 jackets pictured is in NM condition. Each of the 7 LPs is in NM condition, having been cleaned and played exactly once using a Lyra Atlas cartridge on a Basis turntable. LPs are 33rpm except for the 45rpm disc of excerpts.
The original Alhambra pressings, original Columbia issues, and the Alto reissue set are quite rare.
The weight of the set with proper packing and a box will be between 5-6 pounds, and I recommend shipping with insurance.
