Pre blues songsters Julius Danials and Lil Mc Clintock figure prominantly as elder statesman of early blues bringing a rich 19th c musical repertoire to the blues of the 1920's as seen in this rare out of print lp from my personal collection c 1983. Solo guitar with vocals , both artists have distinctie voices and songs with richly storied lyrics. Wonderful liner notes by famous historian Paul oliver ,author of many important books on early Blues development in America. One can hear shades of minstrel show and medicine show traditions ,dance numbers , ballads and blues informed by all these song types, fascinating! Earliest recording of Crow Jane is here, 99 Year Blues ,also here ,is a staple of acoustic bluesmen then and now. A catchy tune here entitled Furniture man refers to one who repossess entire households full of possessions. Great music, rich in culture,this near mint package is perfect for the collector, guitarist, historian or blues fan.International buyers welcome pay any duties in own country.
