Description

This is part of a large auction featuring mainly early Atlantic R&B/doo-wop 45's. There is lots of great stuff here including Ivory Joe Turner, Ruth Brown and some of the more obscure artists. There is also some cool bonus listings. Check back in a couple of weeks for another King/Federal auction.

Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1954


Notes: Yellow label original first pressing. The only single credited to this specific group. Paige is better known in collecting circles for great recordings as "Hal Paige & His Whalers". Both sides of this are blues-leaning R&B tracks written by Paige with some interesting guitar work. 


Vinyl Condition: VG, Most of the records I'm selling this time are in pretty similar condition: vinyl itself is in great shape with basically no wear at all, but does have cosmetic hazing (not too bad, but there). It sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, plays with hardly any background noise at all. Play grade is solidly VG+. Labels are better than most with just some light scuffing/dirtiness. Great player copy that I'm bumping this down to VG for cosmetics. 


Sleeve Condition: VG, sleeve has some wear at the top, but that's about it. No splits or tears. Small number written in pencil.
