Released by Atlantic in 1966, cat # AT.4079; this is “Philly Dog” / “Honey Pot” by The Mar-Keys.
This is a classic yellow Atlantic demo with the release date of the 18th March 1966 printed on the A-side label. There is also “220” stamped in red on the A-side and “210” on the B-side label. There is some light playwear to the labels. There are some light marks on the playing surfaces and some radial marks to the B-side. None of the marks are significant, but visible. The record grades a conservative very good and comes in the original plain white sleeve.
All of these 45’s come from the amazing collection of an original Sixties DJ. He started his career in the ballrooms and progressed to radio and record production through the late 60’s and into the 70’s. Theses records are genuine UK originals unless stated and come wherever possible in original company sleeves.
