Atlantic Bridge - self titled instrumental album - 1970 - Dawn Records.
A classic early fusion LP.
Jim Philip's sax playing is certainly the most striking and fiery aspect of their approach, owing a good deal to the free jazz of John Coltrane and the like. Daryl Runswick also creates some interesting passages with bowed bass. The covers of "MacArthur Park," "Something," and "Dear Prudence" stretch those songs into considerably different shapes. The record has been checked by playing it on a Rega Deck with sensitive Roksan stylus and is graded ex/ex+. The cover is in great condition and is graded ex+ (all gradings in accordance with those published in Record Collector magazine).
