Killer 15 LP vinyl set with a who's who list of musicians from the iconic Atlantic label. Atlantic 7 81712-1. A very well chosen set from hard core jazz, soul and R & B, blues shouters, female vocalists, Be Bop and so much more. 12 albums and three are two record sets with gatefold covers. Extensive liner notes and recording information for all tracks and nice artwork on the covers. These records are often sold separately. The outer box has some wear and is just so so condition (but still sturdy) and all the actual LP sleeves and vinyl is in excellent pretty much brand new condition. The vinyl appears unplayed and the records are Near Mint. All the records and the cover have a narrow 1/8" promo slit along the top of each cover. Digital tape transfers by Ed Michael and disc mastering by Sam Feldman at Atlantic Recording Studios in New York City, September, 1986. Artists include so many Atlantic greats such as John Coltrane, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Big Joe Turner and dozens of others. Best of all, the well chosen tracks by lesser known artists are equally excellent. Very heavy 9 lb. shipping weight.
