Atlantic Records Promotional In-Store LP Dusty Springfield / Led Zeppelin
Atlantic Records TL-ST-135 promotional in-store record, featuring excerpts from SD-8214 (Dusty Springfield, Dusty in Memphis) and SD-8216 (Led Zeppelin). The sleeve is VG+, with some yellowing and spotting and storage wear. The vinyl is VG+, with some storage scuffing and agewear.I did play the Led Zeppelin side of this LP. There was some light surface crackle at the beginning and here and there, nothing out of the ordinary. The record starts with a corny announcer who says "Fly with the Led Zeppelin on Atlantic Records". Then "Good Times, Bad Times" plays. Next the announcer says "The Led Zeppelin: a new album, a new group on Atlantic Records", which leads into "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You". Then the announcer says "The Led Zeppelin take you on a trip you may never forget," after which the record plays "Your Time is Gonna Come", and the announcer follows up with "yes your time is gonna come; in fact it's here now. Get on board the Led Zeppelin for a flight out of sight. After that the side closes with "Communication Breakdown."
I didn't make it all the way through the Dusty Springfield side, but it starts with the announcer and segues into "Son of a Preacher Man" and "I Don't Wanna Hear It Any More".
